Kramers Krautboy sauerkraut

Sauerkraut comes in many varieties and combines well. Reasons enough to cook a delicious dish with one of the many varieties of Krautboy sauerkraut.

Be different with sauerkraut

Sauerkraut can be used in a fresh salad, in light salads or as a side dish for many plates. How about a fresh sauerkraut salad at a barbecue? You can also make juice from sauerkraut (pure juice or in a smoothie) or use it as an ingredient for soup.

Ecological: Eko

G. Kramer en Zonen BV also introduced EKO sauerkraut / red cabbage on the market. This sauerkraut / red cabbage is made from cabbage that is grown without using chemical pesticides and artificial fertilizers. All other ingredients such as the white wine for the wine sauerkraut or the various herbs and spices for the spiced sauerkraut / red cabbage are ecologically produced. Skal, the Dutch organic inspection body assigned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, checks this.

Atjar raw vegetables

What is atjar raw vegetables?
Atjar is freshly cut white cabbage and carrot, marinated with sugar, vinegar, herbs and spices. The absorption of these ingredients by the vegetables give the atjar its particular delicious taste. Atjar special also consists of fresh onion, leek, cucumber and bell pepper.

Atjar raw vegetables is sold in most (Dutch) supermarkets. In Chinese and Indonesian restaurants and on many buffets atjar is often served. Together with a portion of satay meat or a veggie sandwich it is a nice combination of tastes.

Basic preparation method of sauerkraut

Pan:
Put the sauerkraut with the fluid from the package in a pan and add 4 to 5 tablespoons water, white wine or apple juice. Bring to boil and cook the sauerkraut in 25 to 30 minutes. Microwave:
(700 watt): Put the sauerkraut with the fluid from the package in a microwave dish and heat it about 5 minutes. Continue heating the sauerkraut at half power (350 watt) for another 5 to 10 minutes.
